We have several upcoming events and need help with setting up a VTVUI booth, passing out information and talking with the public about the work that we are doing. We would love to have help with this if you are able.
Many are not comfortable being around crowds of people. Though we ask that everyone give back talents and time in some way to support our charity, no one is required to volunteer for this type of activity if you are uncomfortable.
Some have found that if they gave it a try, it is not so bad, while others cannot function well in this type of environment. This is totally understandable and respected.
Please do not feel that you are obligated to try helping out in crowded settings. There are many other ways to give back to our charity that do not involve being in crowded surroundings. Think about other ways in which you can give back to help us to continue to thrive for ourselves and future or incoming teams.
If you are available to volunteer, just send me an email and I will add you to the list. I sincerely appreciate your help.
Thanks to all who have volunteered in the past. Please keep track of your volunteer hours. This is part of the quarterly evaluation for each team. We would also like to keep track of volunteer hours for all VTVUI volunteers who do are donating their time for these events.
