Upcoming events

We have several upcoming events and need help with setting up a VTVUI booth, passing out information and talking with the public about the work that we are doing.  We would love to have help with this if you are able.

If you are available to volunteer, just send me an email and I will add you to the list.  I sincerely appreciate your help.

Thanks to all who have volunteered in the past.  Please keep track of your volunteer hours.  This is part of the quarterly evaluation for each team. We would also like to keep track of volunteer hours for all VTVUI volunteers who do are donating their time for these events.

Message from our volunteer, Cheryl Welsh below:  Just copy and paste along with the flyer attached.  If you do not mind, please send to all of your email contacts and ask friends and family to vote each day.

"Dear Friends,

Dr. Terry Morris, the founder Vets to Vets United, has made it to the top 5 American Humane Hero Veterinarian and Hero Veterinary Nurse Awards.

The winner will be flown to Los Angeles to be honored as part of the American Humane Awards which will be shown on the Hallmark Channel in the fall.  This kind exposure would be incredible for Vets to Vets!  and could lead to future resources and funding for this Durham-based nonprofit helping veterans.

Please take a minute to cast your vote.  You can vote daily and do share the link.

2. Durham Softball - NEED 3 FEMALE PLAYERS IMMEDIATELY!

MESSAGE FROM RYAN - Durham Softball

I thought I’d ask if you had any volunteers that might want to play? If you want to recruit up to 3 females who want to play for VETS this season, we’ll let them play for free.

You’ve been one of the most supportive charities in the league for our cause and I figured this might be a good way to say thanks, while also filling your team with players at the same time. Feel free to give the roster spot to a social media follower or family friend or anyone that wants to play softball. Just let me know their name, email address, and jersey size and I’ll get them ready to play!

Please Contact Ryan Mentock immediately - play@durhamsoftball.com

We have been invited to attend this wonderful event again this year. Lots of fun for the whole family.  We want to walk as a team to support Foundation of Hope!!

VTVUI will pay for the First 5 Veterans to join our team for free.  At this time, we can only afford to pay for 5 veterans to register.  We wish we could pay for everyone, however, we cannot afford it at this time.

Volunteers and  family members who also want to walk for our team, must pay the $55 registration fee if registered prior to August 15th. You may still register on the day of the event, Sunday Oct 13, 2019, however the cost increases after Aug 15.

Foundation for Hope is a wonderful organization.  They have supported us for the past 2 years by providing thousands of dollars to support several veterans and their pups.  Now, we should show our appreciation by supporting them.

Let me know if you'd like to walk on our team ASAP.
